First there was Tough Mudder. Then there was World’s Toughest Mudder. Then came Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder. Throughout the years, however, one vital demographic remained untapped: babies.
That’s why this year, TMHQ is introducing the first-ever toddler-centric obstacle course for children 18 months to three years old and standing at least 1-foot tall: Baby Mudder.
Mudder Nation is made of some of the most kickass and inspiring people around the globe, and in 2016 we’re introducing 50 of them to you as Tough Mudder Ambassadors. They’re leaders on the course, and we’re not talking about finishing first - they’ll be the ones to give you a boost over Berlin Walls, a hand at Everest, tips to get through Arctic Enema, or the motivation you need to push through each mile.
Stay tuned throughout January as we reveal who these fine folks are, and why they’re so passionate about mud.
Can’t decide which superhero, spirit animal, or rockstar to channel this year? Whether you’re going all in, or looking for an easy way out, we’ve got you covered. To get your creative juices flowing we’ve rounded up some of our favorite getups seen on course so far this year (SoCal take note!). Grab your hot cocoa and gather around, the Yule Log has been Coachified.
What better way to get into the holiday spirit than Coach, a grand fireplace, and some festive hip swivels. If you watch nothing else, skip to 50:10 and feast your eyes on his fantastical dance moves, sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.
Toughest Mudder Europe brought the wind, rain, and cold–as expected–but Mudders still lived up to their reputation by bringing in close to 1000 participants, with one-third of those completing 25 miles or more. The UK’s own Jonathan Albon completed 10 laps of the five-mile, one-loop course, in 7 hours, 55 minutes while top female, Susanne Krauss completed 35 miles in 8 hours, 10 minutes in the third event of the Toughest Mudder series.
It’s often said that humans don’t like change, so when you hear that Tough Mudder is moving registration platforms you might be unsure what that means.
But have no fear Mudders, we’re answering all of your big questions so when 2018 swings round the only thing you need to be concerned about is the quality of the mud.
