If you were excited about 2015, wait til you see the 2016 lineup. We’ve been everywhere from the desert to the mountains in search of badass landscapes for Tough Mudder courses.
Every venue is legendary, but here are five that nailed it in 2015.
Whistler Olympic Park, British Columbia, Canada
Sure, you could visit Olympic Park and soak in all the history with a leisurely guided tour, but that would be the easy way out. Featuring a rocky, mountainous landscape, stunning views and a sprawling course route, participating in Tough Mudder Whistler leaves you with a memorable, and muddy, experience.
Culden Faw Estate, London West, UK
Tough Mudder London West is set on the historic Culden Faw Estate featuring 3,500 acres of pristine, unspoiled nature. The beauty of this course lies in its versatility - soak in lush rolling hills at the start line while you make your way toward dense forest trails.
Snowmass, Colorado, USA
Boasting some of the most thrilling climbs of any course, the Snowmass, Colorado venue literally takes your breath away. If 10-12 obstacle-filled miles weren’t enough to test your stamina, try contending with the effects of running the course at over 8,000 feet in elevation.
Herdringen Castle, North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany
Set on grounds featuring the 19th century neo-Gothic Herdringen Castle, Tough Mudder NRW is by far one of our most unique courses. If you weren’t already intrigued by running an event in the backyard of a historic castle, the views aren't too shabby either.
Sirromet Winery, Southeast Queensland, Australia
There are no pit stops for wine and cheese here. Far from your typical vineyard tour, Tough Mudder SEQ took on the hills of Sirromet Winery and turned them into Mudder territory. Forget about relaxation, running through unrelenting brush, mud-covered forest trails, and hardcore obstacles forces you to earn that pride.
