Each year, on the first Monday of October, National Child Health Day is celebrated in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of keeping children active and healthy. While we might be biased here at TMHQ, we can’t think of a better way to introduce fitness into adolescent lives than on a Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder course. Located at all Tough Mudder events across the US, kids between the ages of 7-12 are welcome to get down and dirty on a 1-mile obstacle course designed just for them.

To celebrate the occasion, we’ve rounded up our favorite photos of Mini Mudders pushing their boundaries, and testing their mental grit, at events this year.
